Those who know your name trust in you, for you, O Lord, have never abandoned anyone who searches for you. Psalm 9:9-10
Are you searching for God and if so how are you doing it? I welcome any comments on this. Some would say they spend extensive time in prayer, others in Bible reading, others out in nature and others would say serving Him as His hands and feet here on earth.
How are you searching for Him?
It is easy to get caught up in the things that look bright and pretty in our world. Things that appear to have value but in the long run are going to rot and turn to dust just like we are someday.
At Cornerstone, we have been studying the book of Revelation, and we are concluding this work. As we have drawn to a close, it has become very apparent to me that I need to spend more time "knowing" God and what I perceive as God knowing me.
My heartfelt prayer today is Oh God, grant me the deepest desires of my heart to know you and be known by you. Remind me of the marvelous things you have done for me so that I can tell others. Thank you for filling me with you because your presence is near me and your Spirit dwells within me. Today I will sing forth your praises! I thank you with all my heart. In Jesus' name. Amen
