Fountains and waterfalls?

Yesterday was a fun day in the yard, but I did find out that I am not as young as I used to be. The fountain went in easy in the front yard, with little effort except for a few bags of rock. The waterfall (sort of) in the back yard was not so easy. I guess digging a hole for a 55 gallon tank is not suppose to be easy. I mean when I was 20 I would dig like that all day! I did as a matter of fact one Summer do just that while working for Hersom's construction company. But that is another story.

Stop by anytime and enjoy the sound of a "fake" waterfall.

Here is the small fountain that is now in the front of house, vs. the larger pond that was there last year. By the way we have moved "NEMO" to his home on the southside of the steps, which is where he spent the winter. Yes, you can leave a fish outside all winter, the heater in the pond kept a cosy 65 degrees.

Here is a video clip of the front yard fountain.

Here is the noisy waterfall! I am still working on the attempt to transform my backyard into the woods of Colorado. The white pines are not just touching and the smell is great. I can close my eyes and hear them "sing" and now I can also here the rush of the water down a mountain stream. I know that I will get back to Colorado someday, but in the meantime, this is my only way to get there. By the way, it's a great place to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning or a glass of red wine in the evening. Of course if you are in the area, please stop by.
